Hanging by threads 🪡
I am so excited to present the biggest immersive textile art installation I have made so far! It is the second version of Over Connections. Made with yarn and triple the scale than the previous one, it is meant to give a tangible and embodied experience of interconnectivity both as an extension of our physical abilities and as a constriction of our physical life. We are all inevitably connected by invisible threads, and simultaneously hanging on to threads of information to stay connected.
More than a visual piece of art, this installation is made for visitors to touch, feel and wear, their presence being fully part of the artwork. I'm looking forward to seeing it come to life!
Curated by Alix Voz, the installation is part of an exhibition titled Paralèlles: Unseen Feminine Forces presented at Cambridge Art Galleries alongside the work of two amazing artists Antonieta Grassi and Caroline Monnet 🤩
The opening reception is on Saturday, October 4 from 11 am to 2 pm and the exhibition will be open until December 21, 2025.
Even though nothing can replace the haptic experience, I will be sure to share pictures by email and on Instagram, so subscribe and follow me!
